Good news and bad news...

The good news is that is is only 77 degrees at 10:00 a.m. I get out to the pool by 10:00 because it's been around 90 degrees by then. 77 feels downright chilly.

The bad news is that forecast. It's been the same forecast for weeks on end. To my family and friends on the west coast... "I wanna come home!!!!"

Holy Gaucamole!

You need a BIG truck full of ice to cool that pool down now... about 10,000 pounds of it.

Its been miserable hot here too - but not like that!!

I guess you have to start eating hot (spicy) food like our "warm weather" friends do...

We got rain today and yesterday and I was so happy I was doing the rain dance. Now this consists of shuffle, shuffle, shuffle, wobble, wobble, woo. I am sooo happy we have rain forecasted every day this week!! Now it may not be cooling us down a heck of alot but I am just happy to get the water....we are in a drought here in my area of NC.

I'm not trying to rub it in, but oh my goodness, I'm glad we're in Oregon this week! I'm glad you have a pool so that you can at least cool off a little bit!

Oklahoma weather in summer time goes in cycles. The last time it was this hot for days on end was 14 years ago, and we had inside recess for the first week of school because of the heat. Then, before that in 1980 when I was pregnant with my daughter it was 112 down near the Red River. Hopefully, if we can bear this weather until mid-September, we will see milder summers for a few more years to come. Right now it is so unbearable, I get a headache from the sunshine and being cooped up in the house is no fun at all!

I feel like the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz. You know - when Dorothy throws water on her and she starts screaming, "I'm MELTING!!!!!"

Geez, you are having awful weather this summer. NO wonder my relatives moved from Kansas and Oklahoma to California in the 1910's. No wonder so many people are still flocking in here. It's not about opportunity or freedom.... IT'S ABOUT THE WEATHER.
Hope it breaks soon...
