Walking, walking, walking...

We left early yesterday for Colorado Springs. The dogs and cats and house were left in good hands. Thanks Bill!

I will say this once, the roads in Colorado Springs were not planned by a normal person! But we are learning our way around.

Today we headed west and stopped first in the Garden of the Gods. Gorgeous!

Truly breathtaking!

After a pretty good hike we made out way to the Manitou Cliff Dwellings. I was awed by the simple beauty.

Getting Grumpy!
Even Grumpier!

We drove up to Woodland Park and had a ho-hum lunch at a local Mexican joint. We then walked around and visited a lot of cute little shops. After that we drove back to Manitou Springs and walked and walked some more, visiting more shops. I have to say, the shop keepers we met were so helpful and friendly.

We are spending the evening relaxing at the hotel, resting our tired feet. Tomorrow will include more walking.

Nice pics!

I agree about the roads in Colorado Springs. They don't have any routes that go place to place directly.

That redhead is beautiful. :)

I'm redheaded too. LOL...

Her sister is just as pretty, especially when she smiles!

And the scenery is simply incredible! I remember seeing Mesa Verde cliff dwellings, but it was ages ago... and never have seen these... so thank you for sharing their breathtakingness.
